SHREVEPORT, La. — Willis Knighton Health has been named to Newsweek’s America’s Best-in-State Hospitals 2027 list, ranking highest among North Louisiana hospitals included, according to the health system.
The national list recognizes 800 hospitals evaluated on hospital quality metrics, reputation, patient experience and patient-reported outcome measures. The evaluation included mortality, complication and readmission rates, recommendations from medical professionals and patient survey results.
Although the ranking identifies Willis Knighton North, the health system said the recognition covers all its hospitals. Willis Knighton operates its hospitals as a single entity with multiple locations and reports their combined statistical data under the Willis Knighton North name.
“This is an extraordinary achievement that reflects the dedication, expertise and compassion of our entire Willis Knighton team,” said Jaf Fielder, president and CEO of Willis Knighton.
“While awards and rankings are certainly gratifying, what matters most is the difference we make in people’s lives, every single day,” Fielder said.
The list is intended to help patients compare hospitals and make health care decisions.
