NATCHITOCHES, La. — Three Shreveport-Bossier business leaders are among six alumni selected for induction into Northwestern State University’s College of Business and Technology Hall of Fame during Homecoming festivities Oct. 24.
Joseph “Trent” Jackson and Terry E. Moore of Shreveport and Leah Sherman Middlebrook of Bossier City will be recognized alongside Wes Breeden of New Orleans, Laura Terrell Lyles of Natchitoches and Keith E. Poirrier of Lafayette.
A welcome breakfast and induction program for honorees, alumni and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Natchitoches Room on the second floor of Russell Hall.
Jackson serves as chief technology officer and executive vice president at Cervey, overseeing the architecture and development of the company’s core technology platforms. His work spans pharmacy software, pharmacy benefit management operations and healthcare data systems, including claims processing, drug pricing, 340B program management and pharmacy compliance.
Throughout his career, Jackson has led engineering and product teams developing secure, scalable systems for the pharmacy and healthcare industries.
Middlebrook is vice president of risk program management for Fidelity National Information Services, a global financial technology company. During two decades with FIS, she has held leadership roles in transformation, mergers and acquisitions integration, business development and international payments strategy.
A two-time NSU graduate, earning degrees in 1986 and 2016, Middlebrook serves on the NSU Alumni Association Board of Directors and is a past president of the association. Her volunteer work includes leadership roles with Phi Mu and the Junior League of Dallas. NSU named her its Volunteer of the Year in 2021.
Moore is a vice president and senior financial advisor for Merrill Lynch, working with individuals, small businesses and corporations. His experience includes 14 years in wealth management and banking and 26 years in transportation, logistics and hub management at United Parcel Service.
A 1986 NSU graduate, Moore earned an MBA from Centenary College in 2006. He has held leadership roles in civic, economic development, healthcare and philanthropic organizations throughout Shreveport-Bossier and serves on the advisory board for NSU’s School of Business.
Breeden, a 2003 business graduate, is executive vice president of field strategy and distribution for Association Member Benefits Advisors. He has spent more than two decades building sales teams and developing leaders. He earned an MBA from the University of Illinois in 2023 and has served on the NSU Foundation Board of Directors since 2016. NSU recognized him as its Outstanding Young Alumnus in 2021.
Lyles has served as president and CEO of the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce for eight years, representing approximately 450 members. She also is executive director of the Natchitoches Economic Development Alliance, which works to attract investment and support existing industries.
A 2005 graduate of NSU’s Hospitality Management and Tourism program, Lyles holds an MBA from Nicholls State University. Her career includes hotel event services and work helping launch and grow aerospace businesses.
Poirrier is president and CEO of Poirrier Group LLC, a specialty commercial insurance agency he founded in 2015. He earned an accounting degree from NSU in 1992 and later an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Before launching Poirrier Group, he founded QuickTax Financial Services and worked in commercial insurance with Hub International. He holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation and was appointed to Berkley Oil and Gas Insurance Company’s agency advisory board in 2012.
