Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation and The Grayson Foundation recently awarded Dress for Success Shreveport Bossier a combined $30,000 (BCBSLA Foundation $25,000 & Grayson Foundation $5,000) donation to be used for the nonprofit’s new Mobile Unit launching in the fall of this year.
“We are excited to serve the rural parishes in our communities by providing services to those who cannot travel to our facility,” said Erica McCain, executive director for Dress for Success Shreveport Bossier. “BCBSLA Foundation and The Grayson Foundation support our mission and vision to assist women working towards entering the workforce in all areas especially those who live in rural areas with limited transportation.”
Dress for Success Shreveport Bossier is an affiliate of the international organization, Dress for Success Worldwide. The local chapter promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Programs provided include the Confident Suiting Program, Women of the Workforce and the Professional Women’s Group.
