SHREVEPORT, La. — Gasoline prices in Shreveport rose slightly over the past week, ticking up by 1 cent to an average of $2.66 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s weekly survey of 177 local stations. Across the broader region, price differences remain significant. The lowest-priced station in Shreveport was reported at $2.49 per gallon, while the highest came in at $3.09—a 60-cent spread. Statewide, prices ranged from $2.42 to $3.39 per gallon, showing a 97-cent variance.

Outlook: Spring Surge Ahead
GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis, Patrick De Haan, warned of price increases ahead, particularly as the final phase of the annual transition to summer gasoline formulations approaches in April.
“We’ve seen the national average inch up for the second straight week, but with renewed refinery issues on the West Coast and the shift to summer blends, motorists should expect prices to climb further,” said De Haan. “April is shaping up to be a volatile month at the pump, especially with potential tariff uncertainty still looming.”
He added that while gas prices remain well below 2023 levels, the gap may narrow in the coming weeks as the market adjusts to seasonal changes and broader economic pressures.
