Seasonal Trends and National Perspective
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, noted that the national average has been declining for four consecutive weeks, aligning with seasonal trends and reduced demand. “With the median U.S. gas price now at $2.95 per gallon—the lowest since 2021—it seems likely the national average could soon drop below $3 per gallon,” said De Haan.
The drop in diesel prices is another positive trend ahead of Thanksgiving, offering relief to industries and consumers alike.
