Patrick De Haan, GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis, said gasoline and diesel prices declined across most of the country during the past week but warned that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East could affect fuel markets.
“Average gasoline prices declined in nearly every state over the last week, while all 50 states saw average diesel prices move lower,” De Haan said. “However, the outlook is far from settled.”
Historical data show Shreveport gasoline prices averaged $2.75 per gallon on June 22, 2025, compared with $4.43 per gallon on the same date in 2022, when fuel prices surged nationwide.
