Bossier City is making a statement about where it believes it is headed. With the unveiling of its new brand identity, centered on the tagline “A City on the Move,” city leaders are positioning the community not simply with a new logo or marketing campaign, but with a long-term platform designed to support economic development, attract investment and unify how the city presents itself to residents, businesses and prospective employers.
The initiative follows nearly a year of research, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning involving city officials, business leaders, educators, military partners and community members. The result is a branding framework intended to capture what leaders describe as a period of sustained momentum driven by infrastructure investment, business growth, quality-of-life improvements and regional partnerships.
Rather than focusing solely on visual identity, officials say the new brand establishes a common narrative that will guide communications, decision-making and future development efforts.
“This brand is more than a logo or tagline,” City Council President Chris Smith said. “It is a declaration of who we are and where we are going. It reflects the momentum we see throughout our city and our commitment to moving forward with purpose, partnership, and progress.”
At the center of the initiative are four guiding principles: safety and stability, service with integrity, disciplined growth and community connection. Together, city leaders say those pillars reflect the priorities shaping both public investment and economic development.
Mayor Tommy Chandler said the branding effort grew out of collaboration across multiple sectors and is intended to represent the city’s shared vision for the future.
The platform also introduces messaging themes including “Bossier Moves For” and “Bossier Moves With,” emphasizing both the city’s commitment to serving residents and its partnerships with businesses, educational institutions, public safety agencies and the military community.
Officials say the brand will become increasingly visible over the coming months as it is incorporated into city communications, digital platforms, signage and marketing materials. The rollout is expected to coincide with continued investment in infrastructure, recreation, cultural assets and support for the Barksdale Air Force Base community.
Chief Administrative Officer Shane Cheatham said the branding initiative reflects more than marketing. It is intended to reinforce the city’s direction as it continues to grow.
“Bossier City is moving with intention. We are moving together. And we are moving forward on behalf of the people we serve,” Cheatham said. “This brand reflects that commitment and the momentum that continues to shape our community.”
For city leaders, the launch represents the beginning of a broader effort to define how Bossier City competes for new business, talent and investment while reinforcing the identity residents already recognize. As development continues across the community, officials hope the new brand will serve as both a reflection of recent progress and a roadmap for the city’s next chapter.
