SHREVEPORT, La. — The Community Foundation of North Louisiana has appointed attorney Brandon Brown to its seven-member Board of Directors, succeeding longtime board member Jerry Edwards Jr.
Brown joins the board with nearly 20 years of experience in law, government investigations and litigation. He is currently a partner at Fisher & Phillips LLP, where he advises corporations and individuals on state and federal government investigations, enforcement actions and white-collar criminal matters.
Before entering private practice, Brown served as U.S. attorney for the Western District of Louisiana, overseeing federal criminal and civil investigations across the region and managing a team of attorneys and professional staff.
In addition to his legal work, Brown has held leadership roles with professional and community organizations and has contributed to legal education and policy initiatives.
Brown earned a Juris Doctor degree from Southern University Law Center and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University.
The Community Foundation of North Louisiana said Brown’s legal and leadership experience will support the organization’s mission and governance efforts. The foundation’s board consists of seven members who generally serve up to 10 years through two five-year terms.
The board has historically included business leaders, elected officials, judges, educators and community volunteers from across the region.
