SHREVEPORT, La., Aug. 29, 2025 — SporTran, the public transportation provider for the Shreveport-Bossier region, will roll out a real-time bus tracking app next week aimed at improving rider convenience and reliability.
The app, called Where’s My Bus? Powered by SporTran, will debut during a press conference and ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 2 at the SporTran Intermodal Terminal.
The system allows passengers to track buses through GPS in real time, view updated arrival times, receive service alerts and plan trips through the mobile platform.
“With the launch of this app, SporTran is putting the power directly in the hands of our riders,” said Dinero Washington, CEO of SporTran. “It’s about more than just catching a bus — it’s about moving people forward, connecting communities, and making every ride seamless.”
Local officials, including Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux, are expected to join SporTran leadership at the unveiling.
The transit agency serves the Shreveport-Bossier area with bus, shuttle and paratransit services. It has emphasized technology upgrades and zero-fare rides as part of recent efforts to expand access and mobility.
The launch event is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 2 at 1237 Murphy St. in Shreveport.
