WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) has announced that seven Louisiana airports will receive a total of $1,627,346 in federal infrastructure funding, with allocations made possible through Cassidy’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).
The funding, administered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), supports critical projects to improve safety, expand capacity, and promote economic sustainability at local airports in Minden, Shreveport, Monroe, Vivian, Mansfield, Eunice, and Reserve.
“Communities always want their airports to leave a good first impression,” said Cassidy. “These investments will help them do so. They’ll boost safety, support local economies, and help smaller airports better serve their communities.”

About the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
Senator Cassidy was a key architect of the bipartisan IIJA, which is bringing billions in federal infrastructure investment to Louisiana for roads, bridges, broadband, flood control, and transportation hubs. This latest round of airport grants further illustrates the widespread impact of the legislation across both urban and rural communities.
