Shreveport, LA – Louisiana Key Academy (LKA) Caddo Campus recently held a fundraising and donor celebration event on Tuesday, March 26, marking the culmination of its inaugural school year. The event brought together prominent figures such as Dr. Laura Cassidy, LKA co-founder, LKA CEO Ali Landry, Principal Pamela Barker, LKA Advisory Board Member Dr. Philip Rozeman, along with donors, supporters, and faculty.

LKA Caddo stands as a tuition-free, public charter school, offering an innovative program tailored for students with dyslexia. The school currently boasts an enrollment of 90 students, with a noteworthy achievement: 100% of current students have opted to re-enroll for the upcoming academic year. As part of its expansion efforts, LKA Caddo will be extending its services to encompass kindergarten through fifth grade for the 2024-2025 school year, with plans to accommodate 150 students. This expansion underscores the institution’s commitment to catering to the evolving needs of its students, ensuring they receive tailored support throughout their educational journey. Over the coming years, LKA Caddo aims to further expand its offerings to include grades up to 8th grade, providing a holistic educational pathway for students with dyslexia.

Principal Pamela Barker expressed gratitude for the support received from donors, the Shreveport/Bossier community, and parents, emphasizing their crucial role in the school’s success. “Their generosity and dedication have been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals,” Barker remarked, highlighting the nurturing educational environment fostered at LKA Caddo.

Established in Fall 2023, LKA Caddo Campus occupies a unique position as the sole institution of its kind in Northwest Louisiana. Situated at 261 Arthur Ave in Shreveport’s Broadmoor Neighborhood, the school’s reach extends beyond district boundaries, welcoming students from Caddo, Bossier, Desoto, Red River, and Webster Parishes.
