Sigma Supply expands Shreveport market

by BIZ. Staff

Sigma Supply continues to expand in the Shreveport market place.

In 2011 Sigma Supply of North America, starting with a 10,000 square foot warehouse space in a portion of the Dalzell St. building and virtually no business in the Shreveport Bossier area, took its first plunge into Louisiana.

Within a year SSNA expanded to take over the rest of that Dalzell building and in 2013 leased the 20K sq. ft. building behind Dalzell on McClelland St., sales continued to grow, and momentum began to build. Soon more space was needed and in 2015 Sigma purchased the current facility on Al Bourland Dr. which has 45K sq. ft. and includes almost 13 acres.

In 2017 SSNA was forced to re-lease the original two facilities on Dalzell & McClelland St. in order to accommodate customer requirements for inventory space. In early 2018 the Corporate Management Team approved the construction of an additional 60K sq. ft. to the location on Al Bourland Dr.

A Corporate Management Representative explained that SSNA is projecting continued growth in the Shreveport market which has lead the current construction plans to include the required dirt work for a future expansion of the Al Bourland building.

Local Shreveport contractor Wieland Builds is overseeing the $2.5 million expansion project which has a current projected completion date of mid-November.
