Some workplaces simply feel different. People support one another. Leaders listen. Employees understand how their work contributes to something larger. Success is celebrated, challenges are faced together, and people are given opportunities to learn and grow. Those qualities deserve to be recognized.
Today, Friday, September 18, is the final day to submit nominations for BIZ Magazine’s 2026 Best Places to Work.
This program gives us an opportunity to spotlight the employers that understand an important truth: A successful organization is built by people. Businesses and organizations thrive when employees feel valued, supported and connected to their work. Northwest Louisiana is home to many employers that are getting it right. Some provide exceptional opportunities for professional development. Others distinguish themselves through employee recognition, community service, workplace flexibility, wellness programs or a strong sense of shared purpose. Often, however, their stories are never told.

That is where you come in.
If you work for an organization with a strong culture, nominate it. If you know of a business, nonprofit organization or public agency that invests in its people, tell us about it. Employers may also nominate their own workplaces.
Past honorees must submit a new nomination to be considered for recognition in 2026.
The nomination form asks about workplace culture, employee experiences, community involvement, professional growth and the qualities that make an organization a great place to work. It is an opportunity to share specific examples and stories that show how an employer supports its team.
Recognition through Best Places to Work is about more than receiving a title. It helps outstanding organizations share their stories, celebrate their employees and demonstrate what a people-centered workplace can accomplish.
It can also encourage other employers to examine their own cultures and find new ways to support the people who make their work possible. When one organization raises the standard, others take notice. That benefits employees, businesses and our entire region.
If someone immediately came to mind while you were reading this, do not wait. Submit the nomination today.
The deadline is Friday, September 18.
