BATON ROUGE, La. Voting is underway for LWCC’s 2025 Holiday Giving Program, which will distribute 20,000 dollars among three Louisiana nonprofit finalists. Public voting runs through Dec. 19 and will determine how the funding is allocated.
The program invites LWCC’s network of more than 1,500 Louisiana insurance agents and residents statewide to nominate and support nonprofits that demonstrate meaningful community impact. This year drew a record number of nominations. The 2025 finalists are Child Advocacy Services of Hammond, St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge and Team Fleur De Que of New Orleans.
“This program represents the best of the insurance industry and brings people together in a way that truly reflects the spirit of LWCC’s Louisiana Loyal mantra,” said Seth Irby, LWCC senior vice president and chief strategy officer. “Our agent partners recognize the incredible work these nonprofits are doing, and now the public can help amplify that impact. Together, we can bring holiday spirit to deserving organizations who are focused on helping Louisiana thrive.”
LWCC said last year’s vote drew nearly 2,500 participants who determined the distribution of funds among the 2024 finalists, including Empower 225, the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency and Providence House. Finalists used the donations to support organ donor tributes, homelessness services and youth aging out of foster care.
Brett Gordon, president and CEO of the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, said the support “allowed LOPA to continue our core purpose of Making Life Happen through community education and family support initiatives.”
LWCC is inviting the public to participate again this year, noting that each finalist works to support vulnerable residents and strengthen communities statewide.
