SHREVEPORT, La. — The Greater Shreveport Chamber announced it will temporarily relocate its offices as its historic downtown headquarters undergoes a major restoration project.
The chamber’s building at 400 Edwards St., which officials said has served as a community landmark for more than a century, is scheduled for renovations expected to last 12 to 18 months. Chamber officials said the project will preserve the building’s architectural features while modernizing the facility.
Beginning June 1, the chamber will operate from temporary offices in Mid-South Tower at 416 Travis St., Suite 504, in downtown Shreveport.
The organization said all services, programs, events and staffing will continue without interruption during the transition. Membership meetings, networking events and workshops are expected to proceed as scheduled.
Chamber officials said the restoration reflects broader economic development activity in the region and efforts to position Shreveport for future business growth and industry recruitment.
The chamber’s phone number, email addresses and website will remain unchanged during the relocation.
Officials also said additional funding is still needed to complete the full renovation vision and encouraged businesses and organizations interested in contributing to contact the chamber directly.
