BATON ROUGE, La. — Secretary of State Nancy Landry reminds Louisiana voters that early voting for the March 29 Municipal Primary Election will take place from Saturday, March 15, through Saturday, March 22 (excluding Sunday, March 16) from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Voters can cast their ballots in person at their parish Registrar of Voters Office or other designated early voting locations, which can be found online at voterportal.sos.la.gov/earlyvoting.
To assist voters, Louisiana offers the free GeauxVote Mobile app, where users can:
- Locate parish early voting sites
- Find their Election Day polling place
- View their sample ballot
Additionally, GeauxBot, the virtual voter assistant, provides 24/7 access to important election details, including registration deadlines, election dates, polling locations, and hours. Voters can access GeauxBot at voterportal.sos.la.gov or by selecting “Elections and Voting” at sos.la.gov.
Voter Identification Requirements
Voters must present a valid ID when voting. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- Louisiana driver’s license
- Louisiana Special ID card
- A generally recognized picture ID with name and signature (such as a passport)
- A digital license via the LA Wallet app
