BOSSIER CITY, La. — The Bossier Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon featuring 26th Judicial District Court Judge Michael Nerren as part of its 2026 Public Policy Series, offering members an overview of the state of the courts in Bossier Parish and their impact on the local business community.
The event will be held Sept. 1 at Ralph & Kacoo’s in Bossier City. Doors open at 11 a.m., with the program beginning at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is included with registration.
Nerren is expected to discuss the structure of the Bossier Parish court system, recent developments affecting the courts, current challenges and future opportunities. The chamber said the program is intended to help local business leaders better understand the judicial system and its role in economic development.
Nerren was elected to the 26th Judicial District Court in 2012. Before taking the bench, he served as an assistant district attorney and practiced law privately. He previously served as chief judge of the 26th Judicial District Court and has also served as president of the Bossier Bar Association and Bossier Dixie Baseball.
The luncheon is the fourth event in the Bossier Chamber’s 2026 Public Policy Series, which is designed to connect chamber members with government officials and subject matter experts through educational programs focused on public policy and government issues affecting Louisiana.
The series is presented by Willis Knighton Health, with supporting sponsorship from Barksdale Federal Credit Union, Ochsner LSU Health and Expand Energy.
