BOSSIER CITY, La. — The Bossier Chamber of Commerce is organizing a series of litter cleanup events in April as part of Earth Month efforts aimed at improving community spaces and raising awareness of environmental issues.
The first event, Operation Clean Sweep 2026, is scheduled for Saturday, April 18. The initiative is a partnership among the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the city of Bossier City, the Bossier Parish Police Jury and Keep Bossier Beautiful. Volunteers are encouraged to clean up litter in their neighborhoods.
Participants affiliated with the chamber will meet at 9 a.m. in the Sam’s Club parking lot in Bossier City. Collected litter can be dropped off at the Bossier Sheriff’s Substation on Viking Drive, where lunch will be provided for volunteers.
The chamber is also hosting two additional cleanup events during Love the Boot Week, a statewide effort focused on litter removal and beautification. Events are scheduled for April 22 at 3 p.m. in the Pierre Bossier Mall parking lot and April 25 at 9 a.m. in the Lowe’s Bossier parking lot.
Organizers said the initiative is designed to encourage community involvement while addressing litter concerns across the region. Volunteers can register through the Bossier Chamber’s website.
