Mark Galea, senior vice president and CIO of Willis Knighton Health, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s list 2026 list of hospital and health system CIOs to know.
This national recognition recognizes the year’s boldest leaders driving technology-driven transformation
in healthcare – from EMR optimization, AI integration, analytics, digital innovation, modernization and
technology cost optimization. Galea and the Willis Knighton Health IT team’s achievements include fully implementing the Meditech Expanse EMR across the organization, including 140 clinics and the oncology center, to provide a single EMR repository for physicians and caregivers to document and manage patient care. Through Galea’s leadership, the IT team has fully focused on making the EMR easier for physicians and caregivers to use to help them provide better care and improve patient access to their information and WKH services through WK’s patient portal.
Additionally, Willis Knighton also earned the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives “Digital Health Most Wired” recognition in its first submission, achieving “Level 8” for acute care and “Level 9” for ambulatory care.
