SHREVEPORT, La. — United Way of Northwest Louisiana will host its annual Tails & Ales: A Celebration of Impact on March 12 at Paradise Theatre inside Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City, bringing together corporate partners, philanthropists and community leaders to recognize community impact made throughout 2025.
The event will begin with a networking and cocktail hour at 5 p.m., followed by a program at 6 p.m. Organizers said the evening will include presentation of annual awards, including the Clyde E. Fant Memorial Award, which honors an individual for exceptional leadership, campaign support or volunteer service.
This year’s Clyde E. Fant Memorial Award recipient is Denny Moton, market executive for Regions Bank. Established in 1949, the award has recognized community philanthropists including Virginia K. Shehee, Mary Ann Selber, Jaf Fielder and Sonja Bailes.
The 2026 event is supported by ANECA Federal Credit Union, Regions Bank, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, Yokem Toyota and Enterprise Mobility.
Guests will have access to a shrimp and crawfish buffet or salad bar, complimentary wine and beer, a dessert bar, live music and raffle packages. Tickets are $65 and include food and beverages. Proceeds will support United Way of Northwest Louisiana programs that serve more than 100,000 people annually across its 10-parish region.
“Tails & Ales is our opportunity to pause and celebrate the partners who power this work,” said LaToria W. Thomas, president and CEO of United Way of Northwest Louisiana. “Because of their commitment, families across Northwest Louisiana have greater access to youth opportunity, financial security, and essential support when they need it most. This event honors the businesses and individuals who choose to mobilize our community toward lasting impact.”
Organizers said seating is limited and encouraged advance ticket purchases through the organization’s website. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
