SHREVEPORT, La. – SleepNavigator Inc., a Louisiana-based medical software company focused on improving access and efficiency in sleep medicine, has raised its first round of funding from a statewide group of investors, including Ochsner Health, Boot 64 Ventures, and New Louisiana Angel Fund 3.
The investment will help the company scale its cloud-based sleep-care platform across the United States at a time when an estimated 80 percent of Americans with sleep apnea remain undiagnosed or untreated, according to Frost & Sullivan. SleepNavigator received early support from BRF’s Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program to prepare for growth and connect with Louisiana-based investors.

Founded and developed in Louisiana sleep programs, SleepNavigator offers Software as a Service designed to streamline and connect every step of the sleep-care process—from referral and scheduling to testing, diagnosis, and long-term treatment management. The platform provides real-time case tracking and automated workflows for physicians, providers, and patients, helping reduce delays and healthcare costs while improving outcomes.
“After more than thirty years running sleep centers, DME services, and full-service sleep management, I have seen the many ways this system can fail a patient,” said Lea Desmarteau, founder and chief executive officer of SleepNavigator Inc. “Too many good people are working inside disjointed workflows. We built SleepNavigator to change that with real patients and real teams.”
SleepNavigator is currently in use by hospital programs, independent sleep labs, and treatment providers in Louisiana and Texas. Users report faster scheduling, more completed studies, and shorter times from referral to treatment.
“Ochsner is proud to continue to support innovative companies across the state that will improve the experience of healthcare for all,” said Aimee Quirk, chief corporate development officer of Ochsner Health and CEO of Ochsner Ventures. “The Ochsner Louisiana Innovation Fund is a strong partnership between Ochsner and Louisiana Economic Development that finds high-quality companies like SleepNavigator and ensures they can continue to grow and stay in Louisiana.”
Desmarteau said the investment underscores the state’s growing role in health technology innovation. “We started in Louisiana sleep programs, expanded across Texas, and now we are scaling with Louisiana investors behind us,” she said. “I am proud that we are building a national health technology company without leaving home.”
SleepNavigator plans to use the funding to expand its presence across the country, serving hospital systems, sleep labs, and providers in urban and rural markets alike.
