As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s easy to get caught up in the rush — travel plans, shopping lists, meal prep, and last-minute emails. But if there’s ever a time to pause and take stock, it’s now.

Thanksgiving is more than a day on the calendar. It’s an opportunity to reflect on what we’ve been given, the people who walk alongside us, and the blessings — big and small — that often go unnoticed. This year, I encourage you to truly be present. Set the phone aside. Let the email rest for a day. Lean into the conversations around the table, and take a moment to soak in the joy of shared moments with family and friends.
Our time is the most valuable thing we can give, and during the holidays, it means even more.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the people who don’t get holidays off. The first responders, healthcare workers, utility crews, restaurant staff, and countless others who are working while we gather with our loved ones. Your service allows the rest of us to enjoy these moments of rest and togetherness, and for that, we are truly grateful.
Finally, I want to express my deep appreciation to you — our readers, advertisers, and community partners. BIZ would not be what it is without your support. You help us tell the stories of growth, innovation, and resilience in Northwest Louisiana. You invest in the business community with your time, your trust, and your belief in what we’re building together. That means the world to me.
From all of us at BIZ Magazine, thank you. May this Thanksgiving bring you peace, gratitude, and the kind of moments that become lifelong memories.
Happy Thanksgiving.
