BOSSIER CITY, La. – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist James Burton will headline a benefit concert on Nov. 7 at the Riverdome at Horseshoe Casino & Hotel in Bossier City, with proceeds supporting music programs for Bossier Parish schools.
The concert, “James Burton & Friends,” will feature 14-time Grammy Award winner Emmylou Harris and American Idol finalist John Foster. Tickets are now priced at $50. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 8 p.m.
Funds raised will be used to provide guitars to students in Bossier Parish, expanding on the Burton Foundation’s existing efforts in Caddo Parish. The initiative aims to promote creativity and confidence among local youth through music education.
The lineup also includes Johnny Owens and Marty Haggard, sons of country legends Buck Owens and Merle Haggard; Australian country artist and Golden Guitar winner Angus Gill; and rising Nashville performer Kylie Small, a recent Haughton High School graduate. Louisiana Music Hall of Fame inductees Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs will serve as the evening’s house band.
