BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Treasury’s Unclaimed Property Program has added $8.76 million in uncashed state income tax refunds from the Louisiana Department of Revenue, making the funds available for immediate claim.
The addition represents unclaimed refunds from 27,171 taxpayers across the state. Each year, the program receives uncashed state tax refunds from the Department of Revenue to reunite residents with money owed to them.

“This $8.76 million belongs to the people of Louisiana, and we are eager to assist them in rightfully claiming their money,” said Louisiana State Treasurer John Fleming, M.D.
The Unclaimed Property Program is designed to safeguard and return money and assets that have gone unclaimed. Fleming said the Treasury has made the process of checking and claiming funds simple.
“We have made searching for your name and claiming your money easy,” Fleming said. “Citizens can check online at LaCashClaim.org or call 888-925-4127.”
Fleming encouraged all Louisiana residents to verify whether their names are listed among the unclaimed property records.
