BOSSIER CITY, La. (July 2, 2025) – Extend your Independence Day celebration with an evening of racing, music, and fireworks at Louisiana Downs Racetrack and Casino. The iconic Bossier City venue will host its Star-Spangled Bash on Saturday, July 5, a free and family-friendly event designed to keep the holiday spirit going strong.
The festivities begin in the late afternoon with live horse racing, starting at 4:05 p.m., on one of North Louisiana’s most well-known tracks. The evening continues with a free concert by local favorite The Barksdale Bubble, performing on the racetrack apron immediately after the final race of the seven-race card.
The celebration concludes with a fireworks show lighting up the night sky around 9:30 p.m. — a spectacular finale to an action-packed day.
Families can also enjoy a dedicated kids’ area throughout the afternoon and evening, featuring bounce houses, face painting, and other fun activities on the apron.
