Shreveport, La. — North Louisiana’s largest day of philanthropy, Give For Good, is back for its 12th year on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Hosted by the Community Foundation of North Louisiana (CFNLA), the annual online giving event has generated more than $22 million in unrestricted funds for local nonprofits since its launch in 2014.
This year’s event includes 232 participating organizations, with the Foundation setting its sights on a new record: $3 million raised in a single day.
“Give For Good day is always exciting and energizing,” said Kristi Gustavson, CEO of CFNLA. “We hear so many inspiring stories from local nonprofits, and every year I’m humbled by the generosity shown by our community.”
Key Features of Give For Good 2025:
- User-Friendly Giving Platform: Donors can browse and filter participating nonprofits at giveforgoodnla.org, making giving as easy as online shopping.
- Minimum Donation of $10: Everyone is encouraged to participate in philanthropy at any level.
- Lagniappe Fund: A $200,000+ bonus pool will be distributed proportionally to participating nonprofits based on donor contributions.
- No Participation Fees for Nonprofits: 100% of donations go to the organizations, and all gifts are tax-deductible.
In 2024, more than 4,300 donors contributed nearly $3 million, and CFNLA hopes to top that milestone this year. Local businesses are also joining in, hosting events and pledging a portion of their day’s proceeds to nonprofit partners.
