BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of time as early voting for the May 3 Municipal General Election and the Special Primary Election for State Representative in the 67th District opens Saturday, April 19 and runs through Saturday, April 26 (excluding Sunday, April 20). Voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
Early voting can be completed in person at each parish’s Registrar of Voters Office or other designated locations, all of which can be found at voterportal.sos.la.gov/earlyvoting.
Voters are encouraged to download and use Louisiana’s free GeauxVote Mobile app to find polling locations, access sample ballots, and get other voting information. In addition, the Secretary of State’s virtual voter assistant, GeauxBot, is available 24/7 at voterportal.sos.la.gov or by visiting the Elections & Voting section of sos.la.gov.
Important Reminder: Voters must present a valid form of identification when voting, which includes:
- A Louisiana driver’s license
- Louisiana Special ID card
- Another generally recognized picture ID with name and signature (e.g., U.S. passport)
- A digital license via the LA Wallet app
