BOSSIER CITY, LA – Flying Heart Brewing & Pub, a trailblazer in the local craft beer scene, is raising a glass to 10 years of success with a jam-packed weekend of celebrations. The brewery will host two signature events—Kegs & Corks: Craft Beer, Wine, and Music Festival on Saturday, May 3, and the inaugural Sunday Funday on May 4—at East Bank Plaza in the heart of downtown Bossier.
The milestone anniversary celebration reflects the brewery’s deep roots in the community and continued commitment to creating memorable, family-friendly experiences.
Saturday: Kegs & Corks Festival Returns
Now in its fifth year, Kegs & Corks is Bossier City’s original craft beer, wine, and music festival, known for drawing crowds of craft beverage connoisseurs and music lovers. From 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on May 3, attendees can sample local and regional brews, sip on wines and spirits, and enjoy bites from local food vendors. Live music from Message from Mercury and The Barksdale Bubble will keep the energy high throughout the afternoon.
A fan-favorite element of the festival is the homebrew competition, where festivalgoers vote on their favorite brew. The winning homebrewer receives prizes and community bragging rights. Following the festival, Flying Heart will host an afterparty in its beer garden starting at 6:30 p.m., complete with live music and refreshments.
Admission to Kegs & Corks is $55 per person (21+), and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Tiffany Strong Scholarship Foundation. The event is sponsored by Got Your Six (GY6).

Sunday: Free Family Fun with Cornhole and Community Spirit

The celebration continues on Sunday, May 4, with a brand-new Sunday Funday event designed for all ages. From 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., East Bank Plaza will transform into a family-friendly zone featuring kids’ activities, live music, and a cornhole tournament hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Cornhole Association. With $2,000 in prize payouts, the tournament is expected to draw competitive teams and casual players alike.
Best of all, Sunday Funday is free to attend—an open invitation for the entire community to come out and enjoy the festivities.
