WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Republicans, led by Speaker Mike Johnson, passed two resolutions to reverse Biden administration regulations that they say have hindered energy production and manufacturing.
“House Republicans passed legislation to remove the Biden Administration’s handcuffs on American energy and protect American workers, consumers, and businesses,” Johnson said. “We are working alongside the Trump Administration to restore American energy dominance.”
The legislation, passed under the Congressional Review Act, aims to roll back Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations affecting the rubber tire manufacturing industry and repeal energy efficiency mandates that Republicans argue impose unnecessary costs on businesses and consumers.
Legislation Passed:
- H.J. Res. 61 – Reverses EPA regulations affecting America’s tire industry.
- H.J. Res. 42 – Stops new energy efficiency standards Republicans call excessive.
Johnson emphasized that the House GOP will continue supporting President Trump’s energy agenda, with the goal of lowering costs, creating jobs, and restoring consumer choice.
