BOSSIER CITY, LA – The Bossier Chamber of Commerce celebrated the achievements of local businesses and professionals at its 77th Annual Gala on Tuesday, February 11, at Horseshoe Casino. The event, presented by Barksdale Federal Credit Union, brought together hundreds of business leaders for an evening of networking and recognition.
The gala highlighted the Chamber’s successes over the past year while outlining future initiatives. Outgoing Chairman of the Board Jonathan Reynolds of Carter Credit Union formally passed leadership to Incoming Chairman Carl Thibodeaux of Community Bank of Louisiana. The Chamber also welcomed new board members and presented its most prestigious awards: Business of the Year and Business Person of the Year, sponsored by Willis-Knighton Health System.
2024 Award Winners
- Business Person of the Year: Kevin Nolten of the Cyber Innovation Center was recognized for his efforts in establishing Northwest Louisiana as a leader in cybersecurity, innovation, and economic development.
- Small Business of the Year: Southern Home Builders, which has shaped the residential development landscape in Shreveport-Bossier for over 30 years, was honored for its continued impact on the community.
- Business of the Year: General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) received the award for its $267 million economic contribution to the Bossier-Shreveport region.
