WASHINGTON, D.C. – Stephanie Barnette, President/CEO of the Greater Minden Chamber, has achieved a significant milestone by graduating from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM), a renowned leadership training program for nonprofit professionals.
The IOM Graduate Recognition is awarded to individuals who complete 96 credit hours of rigorous coursework in nonprofit management. This achievement positions Barnette among an elite group of nearly 1,000 professionals who attend the Institute annually, advancing their expertise in organizational leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance, and membership.
“Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations,” said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president of Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.”
About the Institute for Organization Management
Since its inception in 1921, the Institute for Organization Management has provided tens of thousands of leaders from associations, chambers, and other nonprofits with tools to strengthen their organizations and better serve their members. Participants complete four weeklong sessions held at university locations across the U.S., blending required courses with electives tailored to enhance individual and organizational performance.
Graduates of the program, like Barnette, are also eligible to earn credits toward further certifications, such as the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) or Certified Association Executive (CAE) designations.
