BOSSIER CITY, La. — The LSUS Alumni Association and Center for NWLA Regional Impact will host a networking event Oct. 20 aimed at connecting alumni and local businesses with university students through mentorship, internships and class projects.
LSUS Alumni + Business Connect will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cyber Innovation Center, 6300 E. Texas St. in Bossier City.
The event is designed to engage alumni working at local businesses and create opportunities for them to support students while strengthening community connections and regional workforce pipelines.
The Alumni Association will focus on mentorship opportunities, while the Center for NWLA Regional Impact will help connect businesses with internships and class projects.
The schedule includes brief introductions around 5:30 p.m. and tours of STRIKEWERX around 6 p.m. Informational handouts and tables, along with food and drinks, will be available for guests.
Business cards will be collected for a 6:30 p.m. raffle featuring LSUS merchandise and other giveaways.
Because of facility restrictions, attendance is limited to U.S. citizens. Participants must present an approved ID upon entry.
