BOSSIER CITY, La. — Bossier City Parks and Recreation has received a $10,000 state beautification grant to make improvements at the entrance to the Bossier Sports Complex at Tinsley Park.
The funding, awarded through Keep Louisiana Beautiful’s 2026-27 Beautification Grant Program, will pay for a new welcome sign, sports-themed decorative bollards, native Louisiana trees and turf landscaping.
Plans call for about four native shade trees near the entrance feature and artificial turf around the sign area.
The Bossier City project is one of 21 beautification initiatives receiving grants statewide during the current grant cycle. Keep Louisiana Beautiful awarded more than $178,000 to eligible Louisiana parishes and municipalities.
The grant program is funded by the state of Louisiana and the Office of Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser. It supports improvements to highly visible public spaces such as community entrances, highway corridors, downtown streetscapes and parks.
Keep Louisiana Beautiful operates under the lieutenant governor’s office and the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
