BOSSIER CITY, La. — General Dynamics Information Technology will maintain its Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City under a new lease agreement that could extend the company’s presence at the facility for another 10 years.
GDIT, a business unit of General Dynamics, signed the agreement with Cyber Innovation Center Inc. The company has operated in Louisiana since beginning a partnership with Louisiana Economic Development in 2015.
The Bossier City center supports technology jobs in areas including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and software development. GDIT did not disclose the financial terms of the new lease or specify how many additional jobs, if any, are expected as part of the agreement.
A 2024 study by Louisiana Tech University’s Center for Economic Research estimated GDIT generated $358 million in annual economic impact in Louisiana through employment, supply-chain activity and consumer spending. The study projected the company’s economic impact could total $3.5 billion over the following decade.
“Louisiana has built an environment where innovation translates into opportunity, and GDIT’s continued investment is another sign of that momentum,” Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said. “Their commitment to another decade in Louisiana reflects the strength of the technology ecosystem taking shape here.”
GDIT also works with higher education institutions across Louisiana on internship, mentorship and workforce development programs. Partners include Bossier Parish Community College, Grambling State University, Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana Tech University, Northwestern State University, Southern University at Shreveport and the University of New Orleans.
The partnerships are intended to develop workers for technology fields and create a pipeline for positions in cybersecurity, AI and software development.
GDIT said its Louisiana employees have earned nearly 2,300 technical and business certifications. The company also said a majority of its Louisiana workforce holds security clearances and nearly one-third are military veterans.
“Our partnership with Louisiana has always been rooted in shared growth and shared purpose,” GDIT Chief Business Officer Paul Nedzbala said. “We are grateful to the communities, businesses and educational institutions across Louisiana that have enabled us to thrive in this state over the last 10 years.”
The Louisiana operation is also part of GDIT’s Vision, Innovation and Acceleration strategy, which focuses in part on workforce development and technology investments supporting federal government customers.
Parent company General Dynamics, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker GD, employs more than 120,000 people worldwide. The aerospace and defense company reported $52.6 billion in revenue in 2025.
