Veteran Deputy Retires from the Bossier Sheriff’s Office

A retirement ceremony was held on Tuesday, June 18th, to honor Lieutenant Walt Hollis for his distinguished career with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office. The event took place at the Bossier Parish Courthouse, where Sheriff Whittington, staff, family, and friends gathered to celebrate Lt. Hollis’s retirement.

Lt. Hollis retires after 30 years of dedicated service. Throughout his career, he worked in various capacities, including Dispatch, Patrol, as an FBI Task Force member, Narcotics, Special Investigations, White Collar Crimes, and as the Special Services Coordinator at the Viking Drive Substation.

Sheriff Whittington expressed his gratitude for Lt. Hollis’s service and dedication, wishing him well in his future endeavors.
