A Theme of Service
This year’s theme, “Duty, Honor, Louisiana,” reflects a commitment to honoring America’s military, veterans, and first responders. A USO concert featuring the West Point Band, local Louisiana talent, and a major country music artist will be among the highlights of the weekend.
Chairman Troy Carter emphasized the importance of unity during the celebration: “Washington Mardi Gras serves as a bridge between Louisiana and the nation’s capital, showcasing our culture while fostering connections that benefit our state’s future.”
