SHREVEPORT, La. — Willis Knighton Physician Network has added two specialists to its practices, with orthopedic surgeon Chris Caldwell, M.D., and ophthalmologist April Moss, M.D., joining the health system.
Caldwell has joined Willis Knighton Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Pierremont, where he specializes in hip and knee replacement surgeries. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he earned his medical degree from East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at LSU Health Shreveport and a fellowship in arthroplasty at the University of Texas at Austin.
Originally from the region, Caldwell said he is pleased to return to Shreveport, where he has family ties and longstanding connections. He is accepting new patients and most insurance plans.
Moss has joined Willis Knighton Ophthalmology Bossier, where she provides comprehensive eye care for patients ages 12 and older. A native of Metairie, she earned her medical degree and completed her ophthalmology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport.
Her early interest in medicine was sparked by a high school biology class and a fascination with the eye’s complexity. Moss is also accepting new patients and most insurance plans.
