SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, La. – The Super Retriever Series (SRS) will return to Shreveport-Bossier City for the fifth year in a row, bringing back its national Crown Championship competition in October.
The Retriever Trials are scheduled for Oct. 3–8 at Camp Minden, beginning with an owners’ social and banquet Oct. 2 hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. The following weekend, Oct. 10–12, the Super Dock competition will take place at the Louisiana Boardwalk behind Bass Pro Shops.
Producer Shannon Nardi said the event has seen steady growth in Shreveport-Bossier. “This event has grown each year, and the community has embraced us in a way that feels like home,” Nardi said.
The Retriever Trials will feature Open and Amateur teams from across the country in events combining hunt tests, field trials and real-life hunting scenarios. The Super Dock competition will include long jump, high jump and sprint events for dogs.
“As a sports destination, Shreveport-Bossier City is proud to continue hosting the Super Retriever Series,” said Sara Nelms, director of sports for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. “Five years of partnership with SRS has brought incredible energy to our city and showcased the best of our outdoor sporting community.”
The 2025 championship, presented by Purina Pro Plan, will award more than $100,000 in cash and prizes. All events are free to the public, with livestreams of the Retriever Trials available on the SRS YouTube channel beginning Oct. 3.
