SHREVEPORT, La. — Average gasoline prices in the Shreveport area rose 5.8 cents per gallon over the past week, now averaging $2.67 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s latest survey of 177 local stations.
Compared to a month ago, prices are up by 1 cent, while year-over-year data shows local gas is still 24 cents per gallon cheaper than this time last year.
Gas price ranges across the city remain wide, with the lowest station price reported at $2.49/g and the highest at $2.99/g, a 50-cent spread. Across Louisiana, prices ranged from $2.34/g to $3.36/g on Sunday, a $1.02 difference statewide.
Meanwhile, the national average price of diesel rose 4.0 cents, landing at $3.488 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.
The national average for regular gasoline edged up 1.1 cents over the past week to $3.08 per gallon, which is down 9.5 cents from a month ago and 32.7 cents lower than one year ago.
