SHREVEPORT, LA – Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. has announced the suspension of tax payment services originally planned for Saturday at the North Sub-Station in Oil City and the South Sub-Station in Keithville. The decision comes as a precautionary measure due to the winter weather expected to impact the region.
In the original announcement, the Sheriff’s Office had invited taxpayers to take advantage of extended hours at the two sub-stations to pay their taxes ahead of the January 12 deadline. However, with public safety as the top priority, these services have now been postponed until further notice.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” according to a release from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. “Public safety remains our top priority, and we are taking proactive steps to ensure the well-being of residents and staff during these hazardous conditions.”
Taxpayers are encouraged to use alternative payment methods or await further updates from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office regarding rescheduled dates. For more information, visit the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office website or follow their official channels for updates.
