SHREVEPORT, LA – Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Whitehorn has announced that two Sub-Stations will be open on Saturday, January 11, 2025, to assist citizens in paying their property taxes. The decision comes as part of Sheriff Whitehorn’s commitment to transparency and service, particularly following challenges with returned tax notices.
Address Verification Encouraged
This year, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office sent out 97,948 tax notices, but 3,136 notices were returned due to incorrect addresses. Sheriff Whitehorn is urging taxpayers to contact the Caddo Parish Assessor’s Office to verify their addresses and prevent similar issues in the future.
Sub-Station Details
The Sub-Stations will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on January 11. Taxpayers can visit the following locations:
- North Sub-Station: 11411 Louisiana Highway One, Oil City, LA 71061
- South Sub-Station: 9956 Mansfield Road, Keithville, LA 71047
Payments will be accepted in cash, credit cards, money orders, or checks.
Deadline Reminder
Residents are reminded that the final day to pay taxes before penalties begin to accrue is Sunday, January 12, 2025.
