BOSSIER CITY — The Picklr, an indoor pickleball franchise expanding across North America, said it will open a new location at the Louisiana Boardwalk in late 2025.
The 39,000-square-foot facility will include 11 championship-sized courts surfaced by Just Courts, the official court layer for the Professional Pickleball Association and The Picklr. Plans also call for a pro shop, private event space, and a bar and restaurant operated by local chef Gabe Balderes, owner of Zuzul and Cabo Verde.
The club will be located at 201 Boardwalk Boulevard along the Red River in a remodeled riverfront storefront. It is part of a broader effort to revitalize the Louisiana Boardwalk, which has struggled in recent years.
“We are delighted to announce the imminent opening of The Picklr at the Boardwalk, establishing a central hub for fitness, recreation, and community engagement within Bossier,” said Christopher Phillips, franchise partner of The Picklr Bossier City.
Membership benefits will include unlimited open play, league play, tournaments, and instructional programs through The Picklr Academy for adults and juniors. Members will also be able to use their memberships at other Picklr clubs nationwide.
The opening is part of The Picklr’s national expansion plan, which calls for more than 500 new locations and about 5,000 courts over the next several years.
