Neu Aviation has been named Best Flight School in the Central Southern Region as part of the 2026 AOPA Flight Training Experience Awards, presented by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
The AOPA Flight Training Experience Awards are among the most respected honors in aviation training and are based on student and customer feedback, as well as a panel of industry experts. The recognition highlights flight schools that deliver exceptional instruction, strong safety standards, and an outstanding overall training experience.
Neu Aviation’s regional win places the Shreveport-based flight school among the top flight training schools in the country and marks a major milestone for aviation training in Northwest Louisiana as the first Shreveport-area school to win the award.

The Central Southern Region includes a highly competitive group of flight schools across multiple states, making the honor a significant achievement. Neu Aviation was selected following a rigorous evaluation process conducted by AOPA’s You Can Fly initiative, which analyzes thousands of student surveys nationwide.
The Flight Training Experience Awards recognize both regional and national winners each year, with recipients evaluated on instructional quality, student experience, communication, and commitment to the aviation community.
Neu will travel to Lakeland, FL on March 4, 2026, where AOPA will recognize the Regional Best Schools and Instructors and reveal the national winners for each category during an awards ceremony.
