SHREVEPORT, La. — Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center announced new leadership for its North Louisiana locations, naming Kim Hicks as center administrator for the region and promoting Ericha Jarvis, BSN, RN, to program director for North Louisiana.

Hicks, a 1989 graduate of Northwestern State University with an Associate of Applied Science degree, has worked with Dr. Manish Dhawan since 2006. She previously led the MD Clinics team as director of clinical services until the organization joined Mary Bird Perkins in January 2024.
In her new role, Hicks will oversee strategic planning, budgeting and fiscal oversight for the North Louisiana region. She will also focus on expanding access and maintaining clinical quality across the six sites that make up the organization’s northern Louisiana footprint.
Jarvis, who is based at the center’s Minden location, has served as head oncology registered nurse since 2021. As program director for North Louisiana, she will support clinics across the region and work with local leadership to manage day-to-day operations.

A registered nurse with more than 10 years of oncology leadership experience, Jarvis has worked in multi-clinic operations, regulatory compliance and nurse team oversight. Before joining Mary Bird Perkins, she held positions at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport and Minden Medical Center in Minden. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas.
“As we continue to grow and expand our reach into north Louisiana, we are grateful for leaders like Kim and Ericha who are rooted in the communities we serve and who understand the unique cancer needs of the people in this region,” said Jodi Conachen, chief operating officer, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. “Our patients expect the highest standards in clinical quality and compassionate service. With Kim and Ericha guiding our efforts, we will continue to meet, and strive to exceed, this standard as we advance our mission to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer.”
In 2024, Mary Bird Perkins expanded into new regions of the state through a strategic alliance with MD Clinics, a cancer care provider with locations across central and North Louisiana. The partnership added resources and services to the existing MD Clinics infrastructure and created a collaborative model for delivering cancer care aligned with both organizations’ missions.
Mary Bird Perkins’ North Louisiana sites are located in Shreveport at 740 Jordan St. and 850 Olive St., Minden at 10600 Industrial Drive, Jonesboro at 165 Beech St., Natchitoches at 4278 University Parkway, Suite 4, and Winnsboro at 2106 B Loop Road.
