SHREVEPORT, La. — LSU Shreveport, in partnership with the Red River Regional NDIA Chapter and Collaboration Link, will host an Industry-Government Collaboration Workshop on June 17 focused on defense and national security initiatives tied to Air Force Global Strike Command missions.
The event will take place at LSU Shreveport, with Radiance Technologies serving as presenting sponsor. Organizers said food will be provided at no cost through event sponsorships.
A reception is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at the Biomedical Research Foundation, located at 2031 Kings Highway in Shreveport.
The workshop is designed to bring together leaders from government, industry and academia to discuss challenges and opportunities involving deterrence, strategic competition, readiness and combat operations connected to Air Force Global Strike Command.
Organizers said the program will include four unclassified breakout sessions focused on operational challenges, emerging technologies, policy, training and defense-sector collaboration.
Participants will hear from senior Air Force Global Strike Command leaders, explore technology and capability development opportunities and contribute recommendations that will be compiled into a post-workshop report.
The event is geared toward government employees, particularly those working with Air Force Global Strike Command and Barksdale Air Force Base, along with defense industry representatives, local leaders and academic stakeholders interested in defense-sector growth in northwest Louisiana.
Organizers said attendees can RSVP by contacting Brandon Jacobson at Collaboration Link.
