BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana voters casting absentee ballots in the Oct. 11 elections will see newly redesigned envelopes aimed at improving accessibility and clarity, Secretary of State Nancy Landry announced this week.
The updated envelopes feature larger print and easier-to-read instructions, changes that Landry said are designed to help voters better understand the absentee-by-mail process while still upholding the state’s election security standards.
“Our redesigned absentee ballot envelopes come with larger print and easier-to-read instructions,” Landry said. “These envelopes will ensure that voters more clearly understand how to vote absentee-by-mail while maintaining the stringent election security measures Louisiana deserves and expects.”
The Secretary of State’s Office has also produced an instructional video to walk voters through the process of completing and returning their ballots using the new envelopes.
