RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech University’s College of Business and School of Accountancy have once again earned prestigious accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a mark held by less than six percent of business schools worldwide.
“This reaffirmation confirms the high quality of the faculty, programs, and students we have in the College of Business,” said Dr. Chris Martin, Dean of the College of Business. “I couldn’t be prouder of our accomplishments over the past five years.”
In addition to reaccreditation, the College of Business has seen significant momentum:
- 5% increase in undergraduate enrollment and 47% increase in graduate enrollment since 2019
- 98–100% placement rates for undergraduates, MBA, and MAcc graduates
- 30% growth in elite research journal publications
- $7.7 million raised in private giving for mission-focused initiatives
- New MBA concentrations, certificate programs, and course innovations launched
- NSA redesignation for excellence in cybersecurity education and research
The School of Accountancy, one of only 197 worldwide to receive separate AACSB accounting accreditation, also earned reaffirmation.
“Their commitment ensures the longstanding legacy of success for our accounting programs,” said Dr. John Lauck, director of the School of Accountancy.
Louisiana Tech’s business programs have held AACSB accreditation since 1955, with the School of Accountancy being the first in Louisiana to earn separate accreditation.
