BOSSIER CITY, La. – Louisiana Downs Racetrack and Casino will host a free, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration to welcome 2026. The event begins at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, inside the Louisiana Downs Pavilion.
Style Entertainment Live will perform throughout the evening and lead the countdown to midnight. Drink tickets will go on sale at 8 p.m., with bars opening at 8:30 p.m. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol and present photo identification to receive a wristband.
After midnight, attendees can move outside to view one of the region’s largest fireworks displays, lighting up the sky over the racetrack. Spectators can watch from the racing apron or the second-level grandstand.
Louisiana Downs will also offer a special New Year’s Day meal at The Inside Rail restaurant. The 2026 Good Luck Special, priced at $17.99, will feature a traditional Southern menu of ham or pork loin, seasoned cabbage, black-eyed peas, cornbread, and a choice of cobbler or apple pie. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
