BATON ROUGE, La. — Gov. Jeff Landry announced a series of initiatives designed to support Louisiana businesses and streamline the state’s approach to economic development.
The initiatives, introduced at Louisiana Economic Development’s new headquarters, focus on connecting local businesses with large-scale projects, expanding outreach, and coordinating state agencies to accelerate investment activity.
One program, Source Louisiana, creates a statewide online directory where businesses can list services, certifications and capabilities, making it easier for contractors and project leaders to identify in-state suppliers. The platform is available at SourceLouisiana.com.
The governor also announced the Driving Louisiana Opportunity Tour, in which LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois and her team will meet with companies across the state as part of an effort to complete 800 business retention and expansion visits this fiscal year.
Another measure, called Project Lightning Speed, establishes cabinet-level liaisons and formal coordination among state agencies to reduce delays and ensure projects advance more quickly. In addition, LED is reviewing policies to increase Louisiana business participation in projects that receive state incentives.
“From day one, I promised that this administration would put Louisiana businesses first, and today we are delivering on that promise,” Landry said.
Bourgeois said the initiatives align with LED’s statewide strategic plan and ongoing business development efforts.
Since taking office, Landry has announced multiple large-scale investments and job creation projects, with administration officials citing the initiatives as the next phase of Louisiana’s economic growth strategy.
