SHREVEPORT, La. — The Greater Shreveport Chamber held its sixth annual Sporting Clays Challenge on Aug. 29 at the Shreveport Gun Club, drawing more than 100 participants and volunteers.
Sixteen five-person teams competed in the event, which brought together representatives from local businesses for competition and networking. The first-place team received $500 and individual trophies.
Blue Suede Shoes finished first in the team competition, followed by Southern Ag Credit Union in second place and Neil Havard in third.
Individual awards went to Lonnie Johnston as top male shooter, Laura Havard as top female shooter and Billy Sample as top male youth shooter. Eric Sullivan received the Resilient Shot award.
“The Chamber is delighted to host this signature event bringing businesses together for fellowship, networking and breaking clays,” Greater Shreveport Chamber President Tim Magner said. “We appreciate the teams, sponsors and volunteers who came together to make this a fun and festive occasion on behalf of the Chamber.”
The event included specialty clays that produced red or blue smoke when hit, allowing participants to win additional prizes.

Marc Mouton of Front Ridge Trading donated a rifle raffle prize.
